Poet and writer Rishi Dastidar has collected his facebook status updated over a period of 3 years. According to Rishi, “it struck me quite early on in using facebook that status updates were more than that, and actually provided quite a deep glimpse into you and your personality. I was interested in how that might look over an extended period of time, and what that might reveal about someone. And it made sense to start with me. I hope the exhibition inspires people to think a bit more deeply about how they use facebook, and how much of themselves they share.”

In collaboration with designer Matt Busher they work together as Mandatory Thinking, this exhibition was on in Sept-October this year at Her House Gallery in Hoxton. Very interesting project.

Muse Magazine – Mitchell Feinberg

Taking printing to a whole new level with an amazingly simple idea. Fashion photographer Mitchell Feinberg created this series of images for Muse magazine by simply pressing these extremely expensive items of clothing/ accessories into flour leaving ghostly imprints. Really lovely project where the prints are in most cases much more beautiful then the original pieces!

Eastfield Village Identity

Nice identity by New York studio Hovard Design for Eastfield Village, a company who relocate historic buildings (originally ear marked for demolition) to one property. Using master carpentry, pottery, printing tin smithery, black smithery the property is an idilic host to work shops in 18th century American Trades,and art and pottery lectures. The identity uses the rubber stamp within its printed materials, personifying the unique edge of Eastfield Village beautifully.

Dream Big

Artist and designer Pete Fecteau spent the majority of 2010 making this huge mosaic of Martin Luther King using 4,242 Rubik’s Cubes and is approximately 6 x 3 meters. A pretty amazing piece of work, showing incredible skill and above all else patience! See more work from him here.
